BY AGC BTR

Recently, Accouter Group of Companies revealed their latest Build-to-Rent offering with a new unique proposition by offering interior architectural, show home and furniture range design, all under one roof.

Setting out a market-leading, innovative BTR service, AGC have been working closely with BTR operators, Vertus. Having now completed furnishing 160 apartments of the 174-apartment building at 8 Water Street, work began on the finishing touches of the 2 extensive communal club Vertus spaces which span a total of 2,917 sq. ft.

VERTUS’ LARGEST RESIDENTIAL TERRACE

The newly designed roof terrace is the largest outdoor space in the Vertus portfolio. Dressed by AGC, the deck hosts contemporary lounge seating, dining tables for summer alfresco dining and an outdoor bar for residents and visitors. Accompanying the vast space for activities is Vertus Club, Vertus’ very own entertainment package. Starting with Wine Wednesdays and a BBQ area with a private chef, there is always a whole host of events to keep residents occupied and connected with others.

The terrace is undoubtedly expected to be a hit for the 8 Water Street residents throughout the summer and balmy evenings. Still, during the cooler winter months, the residents 4-legged friends have been making the most! Complete with private garden below the terrace, there is plenty of space for entertaining or be at one with nature with perfect reading nook.

MATCHLESS INDOOR COMMUNAL SPACE

COVID-19 has been an unexpected hit for us all; it also meant that Sophie Wilson, AGC Interior Designer, had to re-work the communal spaces to accommodate the changes needed to make it a safe space for all. It was imperative that the inside communal areas were flexible in design and allowed the spaces to go from daytime working spaces to an ambient evening setting. Luckily, for AGC, creating an elegant environment is something we thrive on creating for homeowners.

The finished communal area boasts a private rentable dining room, residents lounge complete with coffee machine and self-serve bar, and a cosy screening room, known to Vertus club residents as the snug; perfect for a family film on a rainy afternoon.

AGC created more spaces for working remotely, like the high-top table in the self-service bar, complete with wireless charging ports. Even with the double-height ceiling the ground floor communal area still allows for plenty of intimate moments, complete with the use of velvets and warming bronzes and beiges enabling the occupant to feel at home. The built-in deep olive-green banquet seating in the nook of the private dining room and the residents lounge provide plenty of space to send your morning emails or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The trio of curved back bouclé armchairs looking onto the private garden create a perfect spot to catch up with friends over coffee.

“We are thrilled with the communal space that AGC have created to be both stylish and functional. We are excited to launch the extensive events programme in this space that is synonymous with life in a Vertus development.”

– Donovan Burn, Co-Managing Director at Canary Wharf Group
